Richmond Group, LLC was created to assist project managers in the pharmaceutical, biological, animal health and medical devices industry with the planning, design, and construction of manufacturing and R&D facilities. The multidisciplinary consulting group was founded by Doug Richmond, P.E., former Team Leader of Engineering and Technology at an international pharmaceutical/biological manufacturer.

In over twenty years of engineering and managing projects, Mr. Richmond observed that few consultants can successfully bridge the knowledge gap between the pharmaceutical/biological business and the design business. Even more rare is the consultant who can think like the in-house project engineer in the design and management of projects -- taking on the owner's concern about product speed to market, understanding the project impact on Cost of Goods, and complying with GMP regulations. The Richmond Group, LLC was founded for the purpose of providing clients who manufacture pharmaceutical/biological and animal health products and medical devices with experienced project engineering tailored to their specific needs and the industry's special requirements.
